Congratulations to the editorial board of Alpata (the Department of History’s student history journal run through Phi Alpha Theta and faculty advisor Jack Davis), for winning the 2012 Gerald D. Nash award for best student-produced on-line journal. This honor is awarded through the national office of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.¬†¬†They have done a superb job in getting out a professional-quality journal with really good articles & book reviews. Copies of Alpata are available for purchase in the main History Department office in 025 Keene-Flint Hall. Please consider purchasing one ($10 for faculty, $7 for students), as the journal is expensive to produce & every copy sold helps to defray the costs of printing & production.
