UF Grad Student Andrea Ferreira Wins International Student Acclaim

UF History graduate student Andrea Ferreira was given the Outstanding International Student Certificate at the 20th Annual International Student Award Ceremony on 17 November 2014.  Ferreira is writing a dissertation entitled “Gilberto Freyre, Race, and the (Trans)National Construction of Postcolonial Identity in Brazil” under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Needell.  Earlier this year, she received the O. Ruth McQuown Scholarship Award from UF’s College of Arts and Sciences. The History Department is proud of her accomplishments and hopes that you’ll join in on offering her congratulations!
