Kristin Miller is a PhD student studying enslavement in Early America and the Atlantic World. Her research focuses on gendered experiences of enslavement in British East Florida and the broader Atlantic World during the Age of Revolutions. She is currently developing a project which analyzes how enslaved women navigated the urban space of St. Augustine during the American Revolution. Before entering the doctoral program at the University of Florida, she received her B.A. in History from the University of Central Florida and her M.A. in History from the University of Cincinnati. Outside of the classroom, Kristin enjoys hiking in the numerous beautiful state parks around Gainesville or heading to the beach.
