Kelly Schindler
Kelly Schindler is a historic preservationist based in Richmond, Virginia, where she works as a writer for the Southern Environmental Law Center. She previously served as the director of education and partnerships with Georgetown Heritage and spent eight years with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where she worked collaboratively and creatively with historic sites and nonprofits across the United States. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Florida and completed her master’s degree in historic preservation at the University of Maryland, College Park with a particular focus on engaging young people with cultural heritage. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys playing music, volunteering with Historic Richmond’s junior board, and getting outside with her husband, son, and their dog.
