Theresa Whitely is a doctoral student specializing in Modern European and International legal history. More specifically, she focuses on political, legal, intellectual, and digital history. Theresa studies the Crime of Aggression (CoA) in the 20th century, particularly during and after World War II. Her dissertation project will expand upon the role of the CoA in International law by examining the initial debates to codify it as an international crime of the individual throughout the 1940s. Before entering the doctoral program at UF, she received her B.A. in History, B.A. in Political Science, and M.A. in History from the University of Cincinnati.
