Sabbatical and Professional Development Leave Applications Due in Chair’s Office

CLAS Faculty, Chairs, and Directors:
The college process for awarding sabbatical leaves for 2013-2014 has been posted on the college Web site.
Sabbatical Leaves (tenure-track faculty):

Applicants must provide their packets to chairs no later than October 15, 2012. Applications cannot be requested from faculty prior to this date. Completed applications, including the Chair’s assessment and ranking memos, are due to Arlene Williams by 4:00 PM in 2014 Turlington Hall on October 25, 2012. Following college recommendations to the provost in early 2013, those awarded a sabbatical will be notified no later than March 15, 2013.
For 2013-14, the college will award:
· 11 one-semester sabbaticals at full pay
· 22 two-semester sabbaticals at full pay
Lists of eligible faculty have been provided to chairs/directors, and faculty members considering application for a sabbatical should confirm eligibility with the chair/director before completing an application. If there is a question concerning eligibility, the chair can contact me.
